Darling Green Utility (DGU) is the dedicated utility company serving Darling Green Country Estate. We exist to manage and maintain the estate’s essential services: electricity, water, sewage, fibre, and waste management, ensuring residents enjoy reliable, modern infrastructure. Unlike municipal providers, DGU is focused solely on the Darling Green Country Estate community, allowing us to deliver tailored solutions and quick responses to resident needs.
The Team Behind the Utility
A lean, hands-on team manages DGU:
Klaus Göbel: Managing Director: The driving force behind the whole Darling Green Country Estate! Klaus had the vision of setting up a separate Utility Company to ensure 100% focus on the Estate and its residents, for the long term.
Theo Winter: Chief Operating Officer: Technical operations and infrastructure planning, ensuring all systems are correctly designed, funded, maintained and operated.
Kyle McMaster: Utilities Manager: Handling day-to-day operations, resident queries, and coordination between residents, contractors, and estate management.
Together, the DGU team ensures that the utilities run seamlessly in the background, accessible to residents when needed.
Recent Developments & Improvements
Several exciting improvements are already underway within the estate:
- Fibre rollout: Fibre installations have officially started, bringing high-speed connectivity to homes and common areas.
- Estate-wide battery project: Planning is in progress for a major backup and trading Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The system will be rolled out modularly as estate usage grows over time, starting with a 215 kWh battery paired with a 125 kW inverter. This will provide resilience during load shedding, benefit from more solar power utilisation, and improve overall estate energy stability.

Darling Green Utility operates as a separate company, dedicated exclusively to managing estate utilities. While we work closely with the broader estate management and the HOA, DGU focuses strictly on the essential services that power and support everyday living.
