Why Our Sales Team Matters:

Being part of the Darling Green Country Estate sales team is not just about selling properties; it’s about forging connections, understanding dreams, and facilitating the journey toward a better lifestyle. Our team members embody the essence of our estate, serving as ambassadors of excellence and guardians of our community’s growth and prosperity.

Now, let’s introduce you to the remarkable individuals who comprise our sales team:

Johan Robberts – Sales Agent

Johan Robberts is a seasoned sales professional with over three decades of experience, primarily with the Old Mutual Group Schemes. His journey within the sales arena started as a Sales Adviser and escalated to managerial roles, culminating in his position as Provincial Manager for the Northwest Province. Even after retirement, Johan’s passion for sales led him to join MAC Properties in Yzerfontein as a Property Practitioner/Agent before he joined Darling Green Country Estate. His personality is marked by being value-driven and goal-oriented, fueled by a profound love for sales.

Q&A

  1. In what capacity are you involved at Darling Green Country Estate, and how long have you been part of the team? I am part of the sales team and have been involved with Darling Green Country Estate since 2022.
  2. What distinguishes the town of Darling from others? I do believe that it is a town filled with character, actually more of a village, but with a huge potential for growth. It is a countryside village, situated only 25 km from a beach, close enough to Cape Town and the Cape Town International Airport and part of the Wildflower route.
  3. In your opinion, what sets Darling Green Country Estate apart from other property developments, and what makes it a desirable place to live for environmentally conscious individuals and families? Darling Green Country Estate has the ability to rise above quite a lot of other developments in the area being that it encompasses countryside with a retirement option, a section for younger families (phase 4), shops as well as medical facilities, all on one property. The fact that it provides solar electricity, and bigger plots for families to keep their own horses, makes it ideal for individuals and families that are environmentally conscious.
  4. Can you share a specific project or initiative within Darling Green Country Estate that you are particularly proud of, and explain how it aligns with your personal values and goals? To start the Darling Green Country Estate project from scratch, adopted by the Darling Green Country Estate family with a motivated developer and team and to sell out phases 1, 2 and 3 makes me proud, and then to make friends on the way, being part of people achieving their dreams and hopes for the future makes me happy.
  5. Looking to the future, what do you hope to accomplish or contribute professionally and personally to Darling Green Country Estate’s continued growth and success?  I do believe we as a team have the ability to sell out phase 4 in the near future and then continue our successes of the past with the other phases. Personally, I hope to establish as many families in this wonderful environment as possible so that we can build on this dream.

Anthea Frith – Principal Sales Agent

Anthea Frith entered the real estate industry in 2004, obtaining her Principal certification in 2013. Her vibrant personality and enthusiasm for projects define her approach. Beyond her professional endeavours, and being a Darling citizen from 2018, Anthea dedicates herself to animal welfare through a sterilisation program for stray dogs and feral cats.

Q&A

  1. In what capacity are you involved at Darling Green Country Estate, and how long have you been part of the team? I joined the team on a full-time basis in 2021 when we still had a little showroom at the Darling Brew. We have come so far since then, but this project is like my baby – I’m enjoying seeing it grow and develop.
  2. What distinguishes the town of Darling from others? The community is probably the most discerning feature. We all look out for each other and greet each other in the street. Most places are within walking distance and we feel safe doing so.
  3. In your opinion, what sets Darling Green Country Estate apart from other property developments, and what makes it a desirable place to live for environmentally conscious individuals and families? Our greatest benefit in my opinion is our Solar Farm that will take the homeowners off the grid and also supply additional power to Eskom. It will have the capacity to supply the entire town of Darling with power which will benefit the entire community. Darling is a farming community and of course, the open spaces and large stands also set us apart from many developments in the Cape.
  4. Can you share a specific project or initiative within Darling Green Country Estate that you are particularly proud of, and explain how it aligns with your personal values and goals? We have joined hands with a community-driven establishment to uplift our community and it is wonderful to see how many local workers have found a position working on the Estate. Economic upliftment is much needed in the town of Darling and Darling Green Country Estate will certainly bring that to our homes.
  5. Looking to the future, what do you hope to accomplish or contribute professionally and personally to Darling Green’s continued growth and success? One of the benefits of being a homeowner is that a small portion of your levy goes towards social membership at the local Darling Sports Club which has become somewhat neglected. A small group of people have taken on the task of upgrading and beautifying the Club which in turn will benefit the entire community as membership is not exclusive to Estate homeowners. We have already seen a remarkable difference in our greens on the golf course and we hope to offer a larger selection of activities and offerings at the Club.

Dane Becker – Marketing Professional

Dane Becker brings a wealth of experience spanning 30 years across various industries, including property, construction, and services (such as investment property + Bidvest Group and even Pam Golding Properties). His mantra of “Dream the big dream” drives him to find solutions to complex challenges, collaborating with like-minded individuals along the way.

Q&A

  1. In what capacity are you involved at Darling Green Country Estate, and how long have you been part of the team? Since the official launch in September 2022. My main responsibility is selling properties within Darling Green Country Estate (I’ve sold about 50 properties here), but I have also been involved in liaising between the developer, builders, suppliers, and civils, while my business development background enables me to contribute in our core team on aspects of marketing and planning.
  2. What distinguishes the town of Darling from others? Darling is a community in the real sense of the word. We know our neighbours, people take an interest in each other, and we help. It is also very laid back, people enjoy life’s slower pace, with most things in walking distance – “Enjoy Life’s Little Moments”
  3. In your opinion, what sets Darling Green Country Estate apart from other property developments, and what makes it a desirable place to live for environmentally conscious individuals and families? 3 things: 1. Unrivalled lifestyle that was systematically crafted, set in a beautiful, but environmentally sensitive “platteland” setting that ticks all green boxes.  2. Its unique position and proximity in relation to greater Cape Town, Winelands, and West Coast, and 3 Getting bang for your buck in terms of space to breathe.
  4. Can you share a specific project or initiative within Darling Green Country Estate that you are particularly proud of, and explain how it aligns with your personal values and goals? Getting natural rehabilitation specialists Vula Environmental Services involved in the Darling Green Eco Plan, which has been a catalyst for the development of the greater Darling Masterplan Framework conservation initiative, with a much wider scope than just Darling Green, and involving the local community, and stakeholders like the Darling Wildflower Society, Green Fingers Garden Club, Cape Nature, and Swartland Municipality. Having been a greenie my whole life, the prospect of restoring significant areas to former floral glory aligns with my principle to leave a natural legacy for generations following.
  5. Looking to the future, what do you hope to accomplish or contribute professionally and personally to Darling Green’s continued growth and success? I hope to influence many more like-minded citizens to make the move to Darling in order to build a caring community in which old-world values can form the basis of a thriving sustainable addition to a destination town, whose charm and allure are known well beyond the South African borders.
